It’s Popcorn Time 2010!!!
Dates you need to know:
Saturday, September 25th: First Day of Sale
Thursday, September 30th: Rescheduled kick off meeting
At the Hot Dog Roast, I’ll go over due dates, order forms and show the kids the Marshmallow Crossbow they can earn if they sell $600 in popcorn sales.
Saturday, October 16th: Storefront sale at Jerry’s Hardware from 8-4
Sunday, October 31st : Sale Ends!
Monday, November 1st: Each den turns in their forms to their leaders
Wednesday, November 3rd: Leaders turn in their forms to me at 4607 Bruce Ave.
Saturday, November 20th: pickup your orders at the Kraft’s - 4607 Bruce Ave, 8am - noon.
Pack sales goal is $250 per scout - that's the minimum sales level for your scout to win a prize. Remember, popcorn sales help with camp and program costs.
There are 3 ways of selling scout popcorn.
1. Online - see below
2. Taking orders from friends, family and neighbors - use the attached form to get started. Bigger, better form will be distributed at the hot dog roast. Collect checks payable to Pack 168 at the time of sale.
3. Selling at Jerry’s Hardware on Saturday, October 16th from 8-4. Check in with your den leader regarding times.
· Selling popcorn online
You can go the Trails-end.com website, logon under your scout’s id and send a form email that is from your scout, with the link in the body of the email.
· Go to www.Trails-end.com
· Click Scouts at the bottom of the screen.
· Click sell online
· Click send emails
· Enter logon and password from last year or if you are new to selling online, create a new account
· We are pack 3168. You can enter in the rest of the information for your scout. Your scout can make a clone of himself that can go along with his emails.
· There is a standard script. You just enter in the recipients name and email address and click send email.
· Or, you can do your own email. Send an automated email to yourself, right click and copy the link from the automated email and paste it in your own email. Here is an example we did:

Attached are pdf files for:
· Door hangers your scout can leave on neighbor’s doors if they are not home.
· Order form in case someone wants to look at the form itself and not go online.
· Receipts you can print out if people want them for tax purposes.
Your scout might want to practice their sales speech with family dog or cat. They can practice suggesting popcorn donations to the military (no delivery necessary!)
